Schedules

You can set up custom time schedules to specify at what dates and times rules are applied to the network traffic.

Navigate to Policy > Schedules to see an overview of the time schedules currently defined in the system and a summary of their configuration. The buttons in last column allow you to edit or delete the respective schedule.

Hover the mouse on the entries in the Repeat column to display the repetition details of the schedule in a tooltip.

To add a new schedule to the system, click the ADD button above the overview table.

1. Schedules Settings

When you add a new time schedule or edit an existing one, the settings screen is displayed with the following options:

Field Description
Name Enter the name of the schedule.
Note Optional: Add a short description of the schedule.
Valid from/Valid until Set a start and end date for the validity of the time schedule.
Repeat From the drop-down list, specify on what basis the time schedule should be repeated:
  • If you repeat the schedule on a Weekly basis, click into the Valid Days of Week field and specify on which days of the week it is active.
  • If you repeat the schedule on a Monthly basis, click into the Valid Days of Month field and specify on which days of the month it is active.
  • If you repeat the schedule on a Yearly basis, specify the dates on which it is active.
Time Ranges Optional: Click the ADD TIME RANGE button and specify a start and end time in HH:MM format if you want to limit the schedule to a specific time of the day. You can add multiple time ranges.

The buttons at the bottom of the screen allow you to store your changes (SAVE) or to discard them (CANCEL).
